Mission Beach vacation rentals are ideally located just steps to the ocean! There are oceanfront homes located on the Pacific with the Mission Beach Boardwalk being the only thing that separates you from the sand! There are also waterfront homes located on Bayside Walk, which goes around the tranquil waters of Mission Bay. The final distinguishing area for a Mission Beach vacation home is a ‘Court’ location. These are perpendicular to the Mission Beach Boardwalk and Bayside Walk. Court homes all face a pedestrian sidewalk with easy access to the bay or the Pacific. It takes about 5-7 minutes max to walk from the bay to the ocean.

All of the properties come with everything you need to enjoy a beach vacation from the comfort of your own ‘home’. Your rental will come stocked with linens, towels, dishware, utensils, and more. Electricity is included and most properties have access to wireless internet. The majority also have private laundry facilities. All properties are available for short-term rental, usually on a weekly basis in the summer. Three nights reservations are the minimum in the off season. There are also long term reservations available in the off season.

You will be just three houses from Law Street Palisades Park which several San Diego websites list as the "Best Beach Overlook." This two-block long patch of lush green grass, with several shaded benches, overlooks the sandy beach from the top of a 25 foot cliff but there is easy access to the beach below via a ramp which is an extension of Law St. It is a favorite spot for observing the wide white-sand beach below and the endless numbers of surfers and sail-boarders displaying their skills at wave-ridding, just off-shore. The park is also a favorite for picnickers and sunset watchers and has restrooms and outdoor showers. The nearest surf break is just two blocks away, Tourmaline Beach. It has some has some of the best surfing around. Fun to watch, or join in the waves with lessons available from world class surfers.

While visiting the area you will be a short distance to many entertaining locations. The famous Belmont Park with the wooden Giant Dipper roller coaster is within a 15 minute walk (or less!) from most properties. Both SeaWorld and the Ocean Beach Dog Beach are less then 5-10 minutes away by car from Mission Beach. Other attractions, including the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, IMAX, Old Town, the Gaslamp District and the San Diego Convention Center, are a short 15 minute drive away. Be sure to take the kids to the Maritime Museum and to see the USS Midway Aircraft Carrior on Harbor Drive!
