The Flower Fields are in Bloom! Carlsbad, CA
For the first time in over 15 years, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch® has changed its color pattern to a new array of colors this year. Designed by a professional colorist, the 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers will cascade down the hillside in a spectacular display of colors sure to take your breath away. New and past visitors will be stunned at new fields of color overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
As one of nature’s official ways of announcing the arrival of spring, The Flower Fields are only in bloom six to eight weeks each year - this year from March 1through May 13, 2012. During this time families and friends can enjoy the ultimate experience and participate in any of the various activities and events such as an open-air wagon, Cymbidium Orchid Greenhouse, Artist Gardens or the fragrant Sweet Pea Maze.
This year’s calendar of events includes the following:
- March 31- Once Upon a Garden
- April 01- Kid’s Day
- April 7- Strawberry and Flower Fields Forever
- April 8 - Easter Sunrise Service
- April 14 - Bluegrass Day
- April 15 - Canon Photography Workshop
- April 21 - Red Hatter’s Rendezvous
- April 23 - Blues Day
- May 12 - Bonsai Show and Sale
- May 13 - Mother’s Day Celebration
“We’re really looking forward to difference this Spring Season,” says General Manager of The Flower Fields, Fred Clarke. “The Flower Fields have always been beautiful but this year we’ve put more thought into the order of the colors. It’s been years since we changed the flower pattern and I know it will make a spectacular difference.”
